COVID-19
We are continuously monitoring COVID numbers and the state & health department guidelines in how we are responding to COVID. We want to provide an update to our policy so everyone is aware how we are still handling things at the gym.
~ARRIVING AT THE GYM:
We have a drop-off/pick up line to make it easier for parents as well as lower our number of adults in the gym. If you choose to come inside to watch, we do ask that no more than 1 adult sit upstairs per enrolled student. Our observation area upstairs is limited as far as amount of seats and we are trying to keep as much distance between chairs as possible. If more than one adult comes in to the gym, please be mindful if a staff member asks someone to wait in your vehicle. We have a livestream available that you can watch from your mobile device. Contact the office if you have questions.
When you come inside the gym, you will need to wash or sanitize your hands. Both the bathroom and the contactless sanitizing station are near the main door. Once you sanitize, you will be asked to go upstairs and wait for your child’s coach to come up and call the class down. If your child is coming in on their own, they will take their belongings upstairs and place them in the cubbies and wait upstairs.
~DURING CLASS:
Children are encouraged to keep their distance from one another throughout their class time. Equipment is sanitized between uses, and children are asked a few times throughout class to sanitize their hands. Please keep in mind that kids in our classes do not have a lot of time that they are directly next to each other. The classes are constantly moving and we do our best to keep kids separated. Our goal is to keep the floor as germ free as possible. Coaches monitor kids during class and if a child has any signs of illness, they may be directed to their parent.
~NOTIFYING THE GYM OF EXPOSURE/POSITIVE TEST
If your child is positive or has been exposed, we ask that you notify the gym as soon as you are able. We do our best to work with families so that their child does not lose their spot, and can possibly prorate or provide make ups if someone has to miss due to exposure or a positive test.
If your child tests positive and they were in their class previously within the same week, PLEASE contact us so we will be able to notify anyone who may have been exposed.
~COVID EXPOSURE NOTIFICATION:
If we are notified about a positive case, we do our best to notify those who had direct exposure. Your child’s class will be contacted promptly, and you will be given appropriate information to make a decision whether you should have your child tested. We will respect the privacy of the person who tested positive but will inform families and answer questions the best that we can.
~RETURNING TO THE GYM:
We are adhering to the CDC requirements as far as returning to the gym. CDC guidelines are as follows:
“Given what we currently know about COVID-19 and the Omicron variant, CDC is shortening the recommended time for isolation for the public. People with COVID-19 should isolate for 5 days and if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), follow that by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others to minimize the risk of infecting people they encounter. The change is motivated by science demonstrating that the majority of SARS-CoV-2 transmission occurs early in the course of illness, generally in the 1-2 days prior to onset of symptoms and the 2-3 days after.
Additionally, CDC is updating the recommended quarantine period for anyone in the general public who is exposed to COVID-19. For people who are unvaccinated or are more than six months out from their second mRNA dose (or more than 2 months after the J&J vaccine) and not yet boosted, CDC now recommends quarantine for 5 days followed by strict mask use for an additional 5 days. Alternatively, if a 5-day quarantine is not feasible, it is imperative that an exposed person wear a well-fitting mask at all times when around others for 10 days after exposure. Individuals who have received their booster shot do not need to quarantine following an exposure, but should wear a mask for 10 days after the exposure. For all those exposed, best practice would also include a test for SARS-CoV-2 at day 5 after exposure. If symptoms occur, individuals should immediately quarantine until a negative test confirms symptoms are not attributable to COVID-19.
Isolation relates to behavior after a confirmed infection. Isolation for 5 days followed by wearing a well-fitting mask will minimize the risk of spreading the virus to others. Quarantine refers to the time following exposure to the virus or close contact with someone known to have COVID-19. Both updates come as the Omicron variant continues to spread throughout the U.S. and reflects the current science on when and for how long a person is maximally infectious. These recommendations do not supersede state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, nor do they apply to healthcare workers for whom CDC has updated guidance.”

~GYM CLEANING/SANITATION:
The gym is cleaned and sanitized by a professional cleaning company. We use UV lights as well. Sanitizer and spray is provided upstairs so parents can wipe down their chairs before or after they sit down. Our staff follows a cleaning chore list nightly to keep everything as germ free as possible.
We are happy to report that Stick It has been able to remain opened since July 2020 and our main goal is to provide a safe, healthy, and fun place for your families to enjoy for many years to come.
Thank you,
Stick It! Owners, Management, & Staff
